Pebbles

The Pebbles Project is a registered Educational Trust and Non Profit Organisation set up and run by a wonderful group of young professionals who are motivated to give support to children whose lives are affected by Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FAS), as well as those whose day to day lives are negatively affected by alcohol in the Western Cape.

The reasoning behind the Pebbles Project is simple: The provision of support to children with special needs will significantly improve their performance at school, and help them become well-adjusted, achieving adults, and this is the only way to truly break the cycle of alcohol abuse and dependence that is prevalent in our communities.

Pebbles offers training to parents and people working with children with special needs, and provides the basic educational equipment and resources necessary for early childhood development. They also renovate crèche and after-school club buildings where needed.

It is a costly project that is funded through donations, company sponsorship, fundraising activities, Government funding and their Sponsor a Child program. At Mullineux Family Wines we recognise our social responsibility to those who live and work in our community and industry, and through Keith we have committed ourselves to an  annual donation of R100 000 to their worthy cause. Keith is also actively involved in fundraising for Pebbles through the staging of wine related auctions, tastings and events.
